This is a wonderful book. I have done meditation before but the 8-week program laid out in this book was excellent for introducing you to different kinds / methods of meditation. After following the program for 8 weeks I have noticed a profound drop in my stress levels and my ability to not over react and to be able to calmly deal with difficult situations. I would recommend this book to people who have not done meditation before as it simply and clearly takes you through the process.
