Hi, all is well with speakers, but I cannot get any of the "back" speakers to work on my PC. I can only connect the green wire I think. how do I connect all three colored wires into my laptop? do I need a splitter cable? Please help, I can only get sound out of two out of three speakers :L Thank you!!
You need a sound card that has at least a green pink and black jack end otherwise you can't have 5.1 surround sound Laptops rarely have these and if u use a splitter cable you would only get sound out of the speakers but they won't be surround sound just the sound coming out The green is the front and centre the black is the subwoofer and the pink is the back and that is why you don't have the back speakers working really it is a waste of money having this for yourself If you wanted surround sound u would have to get a laptop with a 5.1 surround card or get a desktop with one
I might be wrong, but I bought a surround sound speaker set 5.1, and it came with a box which allows you to use them with xbox's etc, which naturally includes laptops too. All you'd then need to do is open your sound drivers software and check speaker fill (virtual surround sound) is on.
It's doesnt always just throw the same sound out of every speaker too. While I play games I have this set up and it still knows to use the speakers smartly.
