Norman Franks is regarded by many as one of the premier aero historians. He has expertly assembled the history of the Sopwith Triplane and it's most successful airmen, the aces, in this volume of the Osprey series. This series of books, while concise (generally less than 100 pages), effectively illuminate their topic through scholarly researched text, photos, artwork and drawings. This volume, along with many other aircraft of World War One, deserve to be a part of everyone's aviation collection. I particularly enjoy the Osprey aviation series. They are well executed, concise, handy reference resources and generally, the artwork presented in them is awe-inspiring! The Sopwith Camel is another title by Norman Franks that you may find interesting.
