We have had the best car journeys and unruffled school runs since we bought this. Both my 2 and 4 year old love it, and find myself listening after we dropped them off! Well written, intelligent, fun and read by the wonderful Bernard Cribbins. What more could you ask-and a feisty heroine to boot!

My son (4)listened to Sophie Hits 6 from the library and asked for it every bed time. I bought Sophie's Lucky which has now become his favourite and is listened to almost every day. It is rich in language and story content. A good buy.

Bought this for my 6 year old girl after she received another from the series for Christmas. She has loved listening to the stories at bedtime. Now after another 'book'!

A little mature- Aunt Al Dies 16 Feb 2013
By C. Perolman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I bought this book to read to my class of PreK and K students. We had read all the other Sophie books and loved them. But in this book... AUNT AL DIES!!!! Then end of the book deals with inheritance and the family moving to Scotland. While this might be reality, it is way to mature for the children I was reading to in a group setting. I wish I had known that before purchasing the book as I would have made a different choice. The story is as beautifully written and endearing as all the other Sophie books and I do recommend it for children who are mature enough to handle the content.
I love, love 4 Dec 2014

I love, love, love the Sophie books for the young advanced reader. Complicated sentence structure, advanced vocabulary, but a nice, gentle, child-appropriate plot line! I wish they would be republished!
