I bought a Sony VAIO way back in 2001 and it is still going. I love Sony products, sure they cost that bit more, but I like to remain loyal where it is valid to do so, and so naturally I went for a new VAIO VPCYB3V1e notebook - this one running Windows 7. This little machine is very compact and light to carry. This machine is also so much faster starting up/closing down than my old one and I find the battery life is pretty good too, being about 4 hours using things like YouTube, etc.

I wanted a small light affordable laptop that could do internet as well as photoshop\office and do more than one thing at once quickly. This has been difficult as most small light and affordable come as netbooks, which are great for internet but slow and painfully slow at photoshop or office applications. This Sony vaio is exactly what I was looking for. The screen is great sharp and bright (webcam is great quality), fast and flexable performance which does not slow with multiple applications open, massive 500GB and 4GB RAM means it can handle anything I want to do with it. Very immpressive machine for the price £320.
