This is terrible. It might be OK as a toy or for watching youtube, but if you want to get any work done DON'T BUY THIS. The keyboard connection is intermittent depending on what other bluetooth devices are in the area I think. So it skips letters of gets stuck and has to catch up - especially annoying when deleting of scrolling. The keyboard freezes frequently and requires a restart to get it back. The keyboard runs out of juice way before the tablet so you either have to work on the touch screen - ie stop work; or - like me - carry another keyboard everywhere - which totally defeats the purpose of having something slim and light!

And even if you do plug in a peripheral mouse and keyboard the machine doesn't like it and freezes out every few minutes for ten or fifteen seconds. And I have tries this with a dozen keyboards and mouse combos.

Like I say - It's fine for a toy or watching movies, but it will drive you crazy if you want to get anything done.

This laptop/tablet is an interesting experiment to marry these two formats.
On the hardware side there are only few nibbles, like the keyboard/trackpad being a bit temperamental. It's not attachable, which you might or might not like. I'm fine with it.
The real problem is with Windows 8 though, which is still more desktop OS than suited for tablets. The metro apps still don't work as conveniently as those on a pure tablet environment, and important functions like selecting text blocks for copying and pasting are missing. At the time of writing, Chrome doesn't work in Metro mode and is very jerky in desktop mode, so reluctantly I find myself using Internet Explorer, which works fine, but I sorely miss my AdBlock.
So in order for this to be usable as a tablet the software will really need to advance a whole lot.
At the same time I do appreciate having a fairly powerful, fast and responsive Windows laptop in such a small form factor, and it even runs some older games at good frame rates (Half Life 2, Fallout 3, Portal etc).
What a pity that Sony won't be around to develop this further and take it to the next level!

I bought this tablet so that I wouldn't have to carry my laptop around which is too heavy for that. So the device is amazing but when I started to use the pen and tried to take some notes I noticed that "touch" didn't work on some areas of the screen, I thought there might be a hardware fault. I couldn't put a dot down in that area the cursor would shift to left or right. It was a odd issue and therefore I'm returning it on Monday, I certainly will buy it again in the coming weeks but not from amazon, I will try my luck elsewhere.

Well apart from the stated issue the device was fine but I couldn't live with a hardware fault for a price like that. I think Sony did a great job in the design, its literally my laptop dwarfed down without the graphics card, which in itself is really impressive. Its fast its responsive and most of all fits my needs. The keyboard has a nice feel to it too and overall its a quality product.

Another thing I noticed it didn't come with the 4G sim-card slot as advertised here, but I couldn't recall seeing a 4G model with theses specs on Sony's website. But I was glad it was lacking this feature since I wouldn't have used it.
