Easy Recording
The twin Freeview +HD tuner lets you easily record one channel whilst watching another or record two channels while playing back a previous recording. With Picture-in-Picture, you also have the ability to split the screen and watch two programmes at the same time. Recording options are very straightforward and easy to use. You can choose to record the programme you want or simply select ‘series record’ and you will not miss a single episode of your favourite TV series. Programmes will either record in SD, if you’re watching a standard definition broadcast or in HD if the programme is on a high definition channel. You can even pause and rewind live TV. There really is no reason to miss your favourite TV moments again.

Expand the capacity or back-up your favourite TV moments for a lifetime
If you do ever run out of space, you can back up your recordings to an external hard drive, then free up the space on your SVR-HDT500. You can watch your backed up programmes whenever you choose; simply connect your external hard drive via the USB connection and have full access to your saved programmes. The external hard drive you use must be over 250gb capacity and be dedicated for use with the recorder.
All your photos and films on a big screen
With two USB 2.0 ports, it’s easy to view your digital photos and videos on your large screen TV or listen to music files. Just plug in a USB stick or external hard drive and access JPEG images, MPEG movies or MP3 music – a really convenient way to share entertainment with friends and family.
