walkman speaker dock, 10 Jan 2010
This review is from: Sony SRSNWGU50.CEK Walkman Speaker Dock with Remote Control (Electronics)
Having read the other reviews on here I decided to go ahead and purchase one too. I'd spent ages trying to figure out if my walkman would be compatible with all the various other docking speakers available (which were usually cheaper too), and finally decided this was the model and have not looked back. I find the walkman fits easily into the cradle, I like the sleek black appearance and the fact that I can easily move it around the house to wherever I wish to use it.The remote is a really useful feature and I dont have any problems with how loud it will go. I find it provides excellent quality sound and looks good too, although I do remain suprised at how few docking speakers there are that fit the sony walkmans, even when having searched sony sites there are only a few options.

Superb Item - please read on, 17 Jan 2010
This review is from: Sony SRSNWGU50.CEK Walkman Speaker Dock with Remote Control (Electronics)
I purchased this speaker for my Sony Walkman, it was to replace another sony speaker that was purchased with the walkman (the tray type Sony SRSU10) because the volumn level was way too low. I read all the reviews on this one before buying, including the one where the buyer thought the remote was no good. I went ahead in anycase as I like the look of it and I have to say I am not disappointed, the sound is fabulous. I don't really see the issue with the remote, after all, the remote came with the speaker...not the walkman, the review re the remote was bad according to the other buyer because it didn't control the walkman...but to be honest, I wouldn't expect it to, it didn't come with the walkman!! Anyway, it works the volumn which is the main thing, it WILL take you back to the first track on another group, such as an Album, but really, I am happy that it does the volumn, cause are you really going to remember everything you have on your walkman and in what order it is without going and looking ??. One slight niggle with the speaker is that if your walkman has a radio built in, you will have to organise an arial wire for it...no biggie really, we had a spare radio arial, tucked in into the headphone socket on the walkman and walla...sorted. the great thing with this speaker is that it charges your walkman as you play, it is pushed down onto a USB type connection (that's how it stands up) the other speaker didn't do this hence you would be forever having to charge it up...and you know what would happen...you'd forget !! All in all, I am very pleased with it.

Great Sound, 20 Nov 2009
This review is from: Sony SRSNWGU50.CEK Walkman Speaker Dock with Remote Control (Electronics)
Had this for 4 weeks. The sound is excellent, full of depth and plenty of umph! To get over problem with difficulty of listening to Fm radio (cannot fit ariel when docked) just buy mini stereo jack (£10) and just plug into back of Speaker Dock and ear phone socket of Walkman. Sorry this was laboured but it might help someone. Finally, you need to turn up sound on Walkman to near max to achieve really high sound levels.
