Initially I was impressed with these speakers as lets face it, anything is better than the built in speakers on a laptop (even the Harman Kardon ones). However on closer inspection the quality of sound when the volume is turned up is poor. This system is fine for small rooms but if you want a system with lots of volume don't buy this one. Instead for an extra £10 I bought the Logitech Z4 system which is brilliant even at full volume and you can manually control the level of bass.

Bought these speakers yesterday from a high street store (more expensive than here unfortunately!). I'm using them in my study. So far, and it's early days, I can't fault the sound quality. For me, they seem ideal. I'm not techie so can't comment on that side of things - I just know that they sound good when playing my MP3's and programmes on the I-Player. So if that's what you are looking for, you'll not be let down with these speakers.

the speakers look fine, the sound quality is good but oh what a nasty little wheel of a volume control located just where you cant see it, and where you cant use it with any precision, still its a good buy at this price, presently under £25.

Good set of speakers for the money
I bought these speakers a few years ago and have just bought some more they are great, clear sound and plenty loud enough for a small room.

Superb Quality

sony got to be much better than this
overall is alright,nonetheless there is no adjust button or something to tune level of buss or treble .

Worth it
Totally satisfied with the product, maybe not as good as other superior brand... totally worth buying it for a cheap price with good quality sound

Good value for money
Very good value for money, excellent quality that you would expect from Sony, if you're disappointed then I suggest there may be something wrong with your PC or your hearing!

Good Value at £29 but not at £45
