Addressing a range of home AV applications, the Pascal 5 Series targets the audio enthusiast who is sensitive to the interior design issues presented by installing speaker systems in the home. By processing the less directional low frequency sound through a separate subwoofer unit, Sony has created an extremely compact and discrete speaker system that can be integrated into any home in a very unobtrusive way.
The 5 Series models include elegant and compact silver speakers that each integrate two 50mm full-range driver units with 120W input power handling. The active sub-woofer features an advanced SAW design with a 200mm bass driver capable of 120W output. Despite a significant decrease in price, Sony has not compromised the Pascal concept's interior-friendly design that has attracted so many users to it. These new products give the best of both worlds--stunning audio performance and an outstanding, compact design.

SWEET SOUND...LOW PRICE,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sony SA-VE525 Pascal 5.1 Speakers (Electronics)
I just purchased the SAVE 525 speaker system along with a new sony receiver so I could better the home theater experience in my bedroom. Let me tell you, I nearly blew up my room! Not only does this system provide for excellent home theater sound, it is fantastic for music aswell! The active sub woofer really compliments this system in a big way. The speakers allow for exponential sound clarity and clearness as the bass easliy provides those gut wrenching poundings when you run up the Normandy coast or are stuck in the middle of a pod race. I give it 5 stars because it provides the best audio I have heared if you have a limited budget. I payed $1000 for the speaker system (Australian$) and it is, was and always will be worth the money. Well done Sony!!
