I bought this at a time when my PC had died and I needed to be able to transfer video from my mini DV camcorder onto DVD. Not only is this a piece of cake on this machine, but you can perform simple editing tasks too, like cutting bits out etc. DVDs are produced with titles and chapters automatically in a number of formats including DVD-RW VR mode (which probably wont play on your other home DVD players, so use another format)Also does other stuff, recording from TV etc, very simply.
