Great price for 2 brilliant items.PS3 is a brilliant console. IN MY OPINION, the Xbox is a much better console and was designed around online gaming. This just seems to have had the online option thrown in in the last stages of development. However, I do actually prefer the PS3 as I am more of a single player gamer, and only really go online every now and then.
So 4/5 for the console.
As for GT5, it is a truly brilliant racing simulator, the detail in everything is amazing. And with updates rolling out every now and then, you can tell that the developers are listening to the fans and doing what they want with the game. However, as a game, it's not brilliant. There's no story, or reason to complete this game, just a case of seeing how much you can collect for no real reason.
I also don't think that you get much else out of the Collector's Edition. A few nice pictures which are good to look at, and then just go back in the case. The extra in-game cars are nice, but not really worth the extra compared to the normal version. And the Apex manual-type thing is a brilliant little book, but much like the postcards, nothing really special that would have inspired me to buy the special edition.
So 3/5 for GT5 (as a game) and 5/5 for GT5 (as a racing simulator).
All in all: A brilliant console, with an excellent game, for a decent price. So well worth it. :)
