I use the device to listen mainly Podcast episodes (News, lecture, talk show, etc). Based on my usage, the following is my review,
it has good sound but
Podcast: cannot play all episodes continuously. I have to select & play every single episode
Music: cannot delete file on device (because of podcast non-continuous playmode, I put podcast episode in Music folder. I want to delete podcast episode after I listen to it but I cannot do that if files are in Music Folder)
Photo: cannot rotate photos > so I have to rotate the device
Other than that, battery life seems long as mentioned by others and again sound quality is very good.

This is my very first MP3, so I havn't much to compare with. Having said that, I'm very satisfied with the product. I have used those small earthings that came with the device and I found the sound surprisingly good. I've also used some better headphones and then the sound is simply awesome. The battery last forever, or so it seems (I only use the device for listening to music, though).

I was expecting something else, the sound is not strong enough, a big minus if you like to listen hard, choose something else.
