    I've had an Ipod and 2 of these great little Sony MPs players. The Sony MP3 wins hands down - the sound quality and build are so much better. You can fully charge it in a few minutes, and it plays for hours and hours. Their very small and neat, very easy to carry about in your pocket. The earphones aren't bad quality, I've seen far flimsier earphones on more expensive players.

    Its a solid mp3 player but there are a few issues:

    Cons:

    Be aware that the quoted battery life is for "continueos" playback. what you will find out is that even if you think you've switch the player "off" it will still be in some sort of standby mode! this means the battery still drains even after you think its switched off! which is ridiculous! why have this feature?

    Second, and i found this particularly anoying, is the way the sound levels work. The gap between each volume level increase or decrease is usually pretty small and accurate. but once in a while, like between volume level 5 and 6 there is a big jump! i dont knwo why this is but it is very annoying when you cant get the right volume level that you want! then its fine again till about volume level 10 and 11 where there is another big jump! very annoying in my opinion.

    Pros:

    Simple to use, Drag & Drop - but beware you may have to set the player up in windows device manager to run as an USB mass storage device, other wise you may have to use Win media player to drag and drop.

    Sound quality is generally very good.

    FM pickup and quality is pretty damn good in my opinion.

    Nice features, such as Bass boost and custom Equalizer settings.

    Can record anything on the fly even FM radio!

    Thats about all i have to say!

    I like this player. It's very compact and easy to use. No separate cable for USB connection. You can plug it directly into your PC/Laptop. Good sound quality although cannot be compared with the Video walkman series of SONY. It's a good buy for daily use.
