The battery was sent promply and was fulfilled by Amazon. On recieving the battery, I compared it with my genuine Sony battery which came with my camera originally to check it was the correct Item. On first appearances the battery was the same but with inspection I noticed that the several anomalies on the battery and label on the reverse.
These included:
- Blurred QR code/Barcode
- The tick inside the white circle was larger and less defined
- General typeset is incorrect
- Stripe and arrow on front containing the words info lithium was darker and the words poorly defined
- Poor Grammar on reverse as should be "Do Not Disassemble" but instead was "Not Disassemble"
I checked this with my local sony centre and they also suspected that this was a fake.
I will state again that this was an order Fulfilled by Amazon. Please Beware.
These included:

Works as it should but then it is genuine Sony battery - previously bought a compatible replacement battery for my Sony A55 at £16 but it refused to work after being left overnight . No problems with genuine one even if it is more expensive........

I got it from HotDeals amazon partner - ordered Thursday evening, arrived Saturday morning, very prompt delivery.
Opened the packaging, and it's an original Sony part, as far as I can tell, with all the holograms, original packaging, etc.
Stuck it in the charger, charged it, used it - works fine; not cheap but less than half the price of the Sony store.

Genuine Sony battery
It's not cheap that's for sure, but then official spare batteries never are unfortunately. But on the flip side it works in my NEX 5n perfectly.
