This additional battery fits perfectly on the camcorder almost as if it was the original design. The stock item seems to be flat and doesn't use the space provided! Adds lots of life into your filming and you still have the original battery at hand should you flatten this beast. It seems to last a long time and was worth the money if recording time is important to you.

I wanted a spare battery for my new DCR-SX45E Handycam.
As I'd previously been looking at Panasonic camcorders but was put off by the high cost of their replacement/spare batteries, I decided that £27 or so wasn't a bad price for a genuine Sony long life spare.
The first time I used it I'd had a day out at an air show/ 40's day so found plenty to point my camcorder at. I had recorded about an hours worth, & I viewed it on the way home on the camcorders lcd screen, so after recording, then viewing about an hours worth of stuff, the indicator said the battery was still half charged, I think this thing could keep you going all day, great stuff!

Sony NPFV70
The Sony NPFV70 Compatible Battery was much cheaper than the dedicated battery and works without problem in my DCR-SR15E camcorder. It also arrived in 2 days on standard P & P.
