Amazon Verified Purchase
Shame on Sony for providing such a low life battery as standard on my Camcorder. It lasts an hour or so but it goes without saying that unless you are right next to a power socket the whole day you will inevitably run out of battery life - no doubt missing all the things you wanted to film in the first place!
The FV50 is a great middle ground of upgrade battery. Not too expensive to break the bank but it is a definite "must have" in anyone's wish list of accessories. I believe we got about three times as much life out of this battery than the standard battery - around 3 hours. If you get this unti you'll also have the standard battery to hand also, so in total it should be enough for any day of filming.
For information the FV is a better series of battery than the FP series - newer tech means the same battery will last around 15% longer. It also charges faster.
Lastly - don't go for non-Sony brands - from experience they always exaggerate how long they will last. With Sony you know you will get a quality product that lasts as long as they state.

The order was dealt with effeciently and arrived very quickly, it is just as the description suggested, the right battery for the job and was the very same as came with the camera. The costs was the best I could find on the internet.
