Thanks Amazon for quick delivery of the battery. It works perfectly to my Sony T70 digital camera. I am sure this is genuine. Hopefully it can bear the load of taking above 250 snaps from my camera. I got the price nearly half than sony's own website.

Not genuine SONY!!! 7 July 2009
I bought this item as a spare battery for my T90 camera. I put it in, but I was not able to take it out as the battery is slightly thicker than the original one. I had to break the battery in order to take it out and I scratched my camera a bit, but in the end it didn't work anymore. I sent both battery and camera to SONY for inspection and I just got the answer from them - the battery is not genuine SONY. I am now trying to contact the seller for a compensation, but they have not answered on my email. If I don't get their email tomorrow, I will have to contact Trading Standard Office, which I guess will be long and not very enjoyable procedure.

I bought two of these for my Sony Cybershot T500, which has a fantastic appetite for batteries. They work fine but don't last very long - no doubt any camera that takes HD film like the T500 will be very greedy for battery juice. I make sure I've always got a total of 3 batteries on me at any time and that has solved the problem.

Almost half the price compare to original sony store, saw some reviews saying the battery is fake,etc

I have tried a cheaper non-branded version and it comes no where near this in terms of performance.
