The sony minidiscs are good. However, I do not believe that there is a difference in sound quality between different brands.
The storage box breaks quite easily, but is otherwise very nice.
The labels are by far too small!! Have used Maxwell minidiscs which have excellent labels not only for the disc but also for the case of the disc.
Will probably buy those sony discs again due to the storage box included.

The Sony 80 Minute coloured minidiscs are the best quality minidiscs that I can find. They are really good as most minidisc players have jog proof facilities for little bumps but these minidiscs come with an added shock absorbing mechanism. So no matter how hard the minidisc player is shaken with this minidisc it will not skip or ruin your listening in any way.

These minidiscs are currently of the best quality that sony can offer. The extended playtime of 80 mins (over the usual 74) means that more music can be stored. This may not seem like a lot of extra space but when different modes of recording on your minidisc player are activated the extra time you get adds up. This set is also very cheap. The mixture of colours means that you can distinguish easily what is on each minidisc. The plastic cases are useful for transporting minidiscs as they make sure the discs are properly protected. Overall these are the best minidiscs on the market until a new, greater length minidisc is released.
