Sony MICROMV cassettes are about 70% smaller than MiniDV tapes, making them the perfect match for the miniature Sony MICROMV Handycam Camcorder. Our new media fits in the palm of your hand, a purse, or even a shirt pocket! Within the diminutive size, the MICROMV 60 cassette provides up to 60 minutes of high quality digital video footage. Its 64 kbit memory chip offers 16x the amount of memory currently available on a premium MiniDV cassette.
This memory chip also contains Index Pictures, the multi-picture search that allows users to access different sections of the tape as they would a DVD. This is accomplished through thumbnail image replication of all recorded frames on the tape. Once a Micro MV cassette is inserted into the camcorder, its Index Titling allows for the first date of use, last date of use, available recording space, and titling capability to be automatically displayed on the LCD screen.

The Sony MicroMV 60 minute, single blister tape is an extraordinary innovation,. Once again SONY come up trumps. When you purchase a very small camcorder, the last thing you want is a tape that would look at home in a Betamax toploader from the 80's. The image quality is superb and the sound is excellent (as usual, although, in order to use the tapes, the player needs to be pretty spectacular!). If there is one one drawback, it is that it is too small!!! Those of you out there with a clumsy disposition or stubby fingers will find that extra concentration is needed to load these things. But being typically 'gadgety', you can't fail with this high quality, space friendly bit of kit, go for it, you won't be sorry!!

The product I received was an excellent product as described but I had a question for the seller and once I contacted the seller via email, the customer service was VERY POOR!!!!

I have not tried the tape yet, but the model of the product is correct, the packing is appropiate and it was delivered even sooner than advertised. I still have to try it, but I don't expect any problems on it. BTW it works on the Sony IP-45 too.
