After looking around for a digital camera and underwater housing i plummed for this and the Sony P9 camera and wasn't disappionted. Altogether a very compact product - small enough to fit into your BCD pocket which is very handy - you don't have to carry it in your hands throughout the dive (it comes with a lanyard as well so you don't loose your several hundred pounds worth of gear in the deep!). Used with the solutions provided i haven't had any fogging of the housing lens. Controls are very easy to operate underwater and fit onto the camera very snuggly. The housing feels very stirdy and secure as well, and left me confident that i wouldn't get any leakage or accidental opening underwater. Combined with the P9 took very impressive pictures even without an external lightsource! At the price you'll be hard pressed to find a quality digital camera and underwater housing combo!

I bought a DSC-P2 camera and the MPK-P9 in August 2002. Since then my wife and I have used the camera and housing on about 350 dives -- over 12,000 underwater photos according to the camera's count, which turned over to 0001 at 10,000 in case anyone's curious. The majority of the dives were to 30-40m, keeping in mind that the casing is rated at 40m. A couple of dozen dives were at 40-45m, once to 47.5m. Most dives were 55-65 minutes.
Last week, disaster struck, as a stress crack starting at the controls in the plastic of the housing's back, expanded rapidly and flooded the whole thing. I rinsed the camera in fresh water and blew out as much as possible with compressed air, and a couple of days later the darned thing works again! You can see a couple of salt crystals between the LCD screen and the glass covering it but it's not bad. The housing's a goner, so now I need a new one, given that the camera seems to be good for another 12,000 or so. Disappointing that it didn't live forever but still well worth the price.
