Great training cans 24 May 2009
Have to say that having tried several so called 'training specific' headphones, by phillips, jvc, sennheiser etc.., these are by far the most comfortable, secure, and most definitely the best sounding..I really cannot fault them. Great bass, definition and clarity is now totally available whilst putting the miles in, and they also, as a bonus, cut out external noise by being naturally isolating(diff. size rubber ear fitments). All in all, worth the extra money over cheaper sport model cans..Enjoy!!

By Ash TOP 500 REVIEWER
I ordered these headphones specifically to go running in. They give lovely sound and great bass response for this type of headphone, though they aren't the best. Certainly the best out of the headphones I have used for excercising. However, they do press very hard against your ears. Usually, I put them on and get them to fit well but after 30 mins or so they start to ache, and then I really struggle to find a comfy position for them.

I found that one solution is to change the earbuds with the softer, rounder earbuds that come with other Sony in-ear headphones, which I happen to have. These allow you to sort of twist and push the headphones in to your ears which relieves the pressure on the area around the canal entrance. However, this isn't a very practical solution and they still end up aching after a while.

Also, the wire has a tendency to bang on the outer casing of the band as it jerks with the movement of your body, which leads to a thudding noise whcih is very annoying. Again you can get around this but it is an irritant.

In summary - these have excellent sound, but aren't great for extended use.

Great Product 6 April 2009
Got these to replace some Sony MDR-EX71 earbud type 'phones; which were frankly terrible, mine had no bass and sounded tinny. Took a chance on these and i'm glad I did. The sound is excellent, clear and natural with a nice wide frequency response. Comfy for my head and ears though may not suit all wearers. A proper headband means NO FALLING OUT too!

I like these Headphones
I have bought a couple of pairs of Sennheisers in the past with the hope that the relatively high price tag would equate to good sound quality. I was sorely dissappointed. Read more

Excellent sound quality and stays in the ears
The good: excellent sound quality compared to Philips and so many other brands. Stays in the ears during exercise. No neckband to keep touching your neck. Read more
