Despite the product picture showing a whole camera case, this is just the part that covers the lens for the Sony NEX-5 and it is not a stand alone product - you will need to also purchase the LCS-EMB1A body case. It is made of leather, although this is textured so that it appears to be made of fabric in all of the product pictures I could locate (amazingly, even Sony informed me that it was made of fabric when I called to check details).
The NEX-5 comes with a variety of different lenses, so you need to choose the lens jacket to fit the lens you have chosen. This is the lens jacket for the 18-55mm lens; the one for the 16mm lens is LCS-EML1A; both are made of the same textured leather. These lens jackets connect to the body case via two press studs. The finished look is very much like the camera cases that came with the old SLRs and is nice and compact - but costly when you consider one of the benefits of the NEX-5 is that the lenses are interchangeable and a different lens jacket will be needed for each combination.

Just got this case and am happy with quality of leather and fit on the camera.It is a nice looking case which offers good protection!
The only problem I find besides the ridiculous price ha-ha! Is that when you flip it open to take a shot, the single press stud which attaches under the matching lower part (sold separately)isn`t strong enough for the weight of the top part and the case just drops to floor sometimes but not always! so it can lead you into a false sense of security, You could easily loose it if you are busy with your shot, and don`t realise and move elsewhere to take another shot? I now put in my jacket pocket until am ready to put the camera away, I will use this top part with the pancake lens too, I won`t be getting other top cover part, as this will still cover camera fine with the smaller lens attached. Only trouble is when the 200mm lens comes out you will need another £££ top part?
If you bought both top parts and the lower would cost you over £120. If 200mm lens needs new top part you talking £160+ even at Sony prices £160+ would buy you a lot of other gear!

The case is in two parts, which is a faff to get on and off. I think the idea is to have it hanging whilst you take photos - it just gets in the way! So if you take it off, where do you put it! There is also no pockets to store additional memory cards, or space to close it whilst the flash is on - useless!!!
On the plus side it's a sturdy case so the camera doesn't get damaged.
