If you are going to spend £500-£600 on a digicam, then what is the point of storing it in a cheap and shoddy carrying case-of which there are many! You may as well put your digicam in a Tesco's bag and sling it over your shoulder...
...Sony are aware that high quality and high price merchandise needs to be protected, and this case does the job. Solid padding around, durable and quality material and loads of room-not only can I get my Sony digicam in here, plus all the accessories -charger, extra CD-RW's, instruction book etc, but also my Sony digital camera and all of its bits and pieces as well-with a little room to spare!
Comfortable to wear with a padded and large carrying strap with lots of "give", as well as metal, not plastic clips which contribute to its all-round sturdiness. A minor quibble is that it has "Camcorder" written on it, which is a bit of an invitation to anyone looking to acquire one for a bargain price and a blunt object, but, other than that, can't fault it & agree with a fellow reviewers sentiments-you spent a lot of £££ on your digicam, so look after it!

Having invested in a Sony MiniDV camera for a trip to New York, I thought it only right that I bought a case of suitable quality to store it in.
The Sony LCS-VA5 is made to a very high standard, having pockets on the sides, front and under the lid which can be used for a variety of functions. I personally use the side pockets for batteries and cables. The front pocket, I keep my spare batteries for my stills digital camera which also fits comfortably in the case.
The main compatment as mentioned before, has room for the MiniDV and stills camera, 2 dividers can be adjusted accordingly, leaving ample room for the battery charger and leads. For some reason there is a hidden compartement at the bottom, easily removed if you have nothing to hide!!
Overall, a very well made case with comfortable shoulder strap, all metal clips and logo.
Remember, you have spent a lot of money on your camera, look after it!

i recently purchased a Sony DCR-TRV22E MiniDV Camcorder, with which i delighted with but a bit miffed that it didnt come with a case of any kind, i found this case which is perfect for the job, not only dose it have the space for charger, spare battery, tapes, remote etc it very solidly built, with a handy "secret compartment" at the base which helps add to cushioning should you accidently drop it, on the front and sides are zipped compartment which have webbing inside to stop your expensive accessories from rattling around and getting dammaged in transit, the main compartment is semi rigid with decent padding, two divider which can moved around to support other makes of camera/camcorder and more importantly this case can protect your cam from light rain, but must covered in heavy down pours. Cant complain and at this price its a higly recommended product
