I'm delighted with this TV. Elegant, functional and excellent quality - Having one TV with a built-in Blu-Ray player (also plays DVDs), a built-in Freeview HD receiver and with built-in internet TV access (having purchased the WiFi dongle separately) all within one seamless unit without endless cables and one, yes one, remote control is a joy!
Setting up the internet WiFi dongle took about 60 seconds without any issues or problems - I simply wrote down the ID number from the back of my Broadband WiFi modem and entered it on screen when the TV prompted me; Simple. I have a standard BT internet home broadband hub out in the hallway, and the stability and quality has been superb. The internet TV options have been a revelation and this is surely the future. I can only wait eagerly until Sony adds the promised BBC iPlayer to its list.

Having had 2 duff 32" LG's delivered to me (you can see my review of them here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B003FMSIV8/ref=cm_cr_pr_hist_2?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&filterBy=addTwoStar) , I decided to go for a refund and buy a Sony instead.
This Sony stood out with it's built in Blu-Ray & Freeview HD....a chance to get rid of the old DVD player! It also had all the internet connectivity options I was looking for. At the price (I got 10% off via Quidco voucher code), it seemed to be pretty future-proof so I went for it.
This is a nice looking TV. Very easy to attach the base and initial setup of channels etc was a doddle.
The picture in standard mode was not quite as sharp as the LG's when you are close up but that was to be expected given that the LG's were 100hz and this sony is only 50hz. From normal viewing distance though you do not notice. The colours are great though and there was none of the backlight bleeding problem I had with the LG's.
When it came to connecting the TV up to the internet, I decided to forget about buying an expensive Sony wireless dongle. Instead I bought a pair of HomePlug Network Adaptors for about £40. If you don't know about these, the adaptors plug into the normal electricity socket on the wall...1 by the TV and 1 next to the computer. You connect a normal Cat5 network cable from 1 plug to your router and from the other plug to the TV. Basically it uses the household electricity wiring circuit as a wired network...very clever :-)
Once connected up to the network, I was impressed by the content available as standard on the TV, including the BBC iPlayer. Haven't worked out how to stream stuff from my computer to the TV yet but that's not the TV's problem. The TV lists my Windows 7 pc as one of it's available servers so there's no compatibility issues there.
The built in Blu-Ray works just fine. The only thing to note is that this TV is a bit heavier and a bit fatter than a standard 32" LCD, as a result of the built in Blu-Ray.
The only thing that stops me giving this TV 5 stars is that the menu system is a bit slow to react. Not painfully slow but definitely not instant!

This is a great innovation from Sony putting a blue ray player in a great TV like this. I was looking at getting a new TV. It satisfied my criteria of good quality, freeview, and HD. it is also internet ready (LAN only) and wireless compatible (with the purchase of a SONY specific USB wireless device - costing about £65 right now). So dont be fooled with it stating internet ready. it is only internet ready if you can easily plug in a network cable from your local area network. The only real issue I have is that almost all of the inputs are at the rear of the screen. which makes it just about nearly impossible to plug anything in after it has been wall mounted. Even the aerial input is at the rear and not accessible once mounted. I also thought that as it had a built in blue ray player, Sony should have made the remote bluetooth like the PS3 rather than the standard RF.
Other than that, it is a great TV and I hope to enjoy for years to come.
