Bought this after 2 failed goes at getting a satisfactory Samsung UE55D8000... glad that all went pear shaped as this TV is fab. Quality of the picture out strips the sammy by miles. Its a little piece of perfection...
Spending alot of money u want to get your moneys worth. The Sony oozes quality and satisfies me perfectly for looks, ease of use and picture perfection. Not tried 3D yet but the HD freeview, blu ray and dvd pictures are fab, especially on a screen over 50 inches.
Got a big smile back on my face after recieving less than perfect Samsungs. One minor point is the Sony is a heavy piece of kit, but that is minor to the joys of having a great set that hits the spot. Menus work well and are not as sluggish as the sammys and the remote is spot on and looks the part too. Got mine delivered for 1700 notes.
Dont settle for cheaper rivals... treat yourself to a slice of luxury....

I decided to upgrade my 3 year old 40" Sony Bravia 40X3000 and fancied one that was 3D capable. I only buy Sony TV's and have done for as long as I can remember due to their superior picture and build quality although you do pay more. This TV is stunning, not only does it look superb but the dynamic LED back lighting and other features produces a picture of a quality I have not seen before on a TV, I thought my old one was good! The 3D is also amazing on this TV whether it is Sky 3D or 3D games on my PS3 although not a huge amount to watch at the moment. The only slight downside, as is with most 'thin' TV's is there is no room for decent speakers. Don't get me wrong, they are perfectly adequate for normal viewing, I tend to watch most programs through my 5.1 sound system anyway and turn the TV down. I thought at first 52" might be a bit OTT but I am glad I went for that size now. You will not be disappointed with one of these!
