Good
- Very clear sound from what is a tiny speaker - not very loud, but adequate for personal use
- Sensitive reception on FM and MW
- Batteries seem to last for ages
- Self power (generator) works fine and charges internal battery well

Bad
- Earphone socket is just that - earphones, not headphones, so if you plug a typical MP3 player type in you only get sound from one side.
- Very orange (but thats subjective!)
- LED lights (both torch and the ambient type one on the top) could be a bit brighter, also easy to switch on without noticing

At time of writing, Amazon picture is of the same model, but destined for another country/region - the UK one does not have TV Sound reception.

I bought this radio as I was fed up of replacing batteries in my current radio. I am very pleased with it. The wind up mechanism works well and is easy to use. The sounds is crisp and clear and the radio is easy to tune in well. The radio was a little smaller than I anticipatied from the photo as no dimensions are given on amazon. However, all in all, a brilliant little radio for camping/garden/finshing etc. I highly recommend this to others

I bought this radio from K.K.Electronics because it was described by them as waterproof. When I got it, I found out that the manufacturer described it as showerproof, that's quite a difference, so buyer beware. The radio is fine in all other respects so I haven't returned it. Just wish people would be honest.

First of all, this radio is teeny - (measures 12cm x 8cm) - I was expecting it to be bigger. It packs a punch though - good, loud sound and easy, strong tuning means I can wander round the house and listen to Five Live's Olympic coverage while I do the housework - great! The FM reception seems excellent, as good as the old (v expensive) Roberts I used to have in the kitchen. They call it an 'Emergency Radio' on the box - great, it can become part of my Zombie Plan. No complaints here. And I LOVE the colour.

It does what it says.Reception and sound good and so easy to use.Torch is adequate in dark conditions so look upon this aspect as a bonus. You should recoup your money on the batteries you won't have to buy.

Love this radio. Admittedly, it's basic but it does everything well. Agreed the speaker volume is not very loud, but as the other review commented, it's absolutely fine for personal use. Had mine a little while and have never put in batteries, the crank works just peachy and I get at least 30-45 mins on FM and 20 mins with the light, all for just a minute's kranking. Still get a good feeling knowing that using it sans-batteries is absolutely carbon neutral. Sounds silly but I shudder to think how many batteries I've used and binned on previous small radios over the years.
