Excellent Item 11 Oct 2005
Hmmm, you can't see the display - ONLY if it is well ABOVE eye level, but that's not going to affect 99.9% of people, so if your oversized bedside cabinet is above the height of your bed, pick an LED clock rather than an LCD one. Otherwise, this clock is excellent. Displays the time and two different alarm settings on different displays at the same time, has the date, sleep and nap functions, digital presets and good looks and build quality. You can even dim the backlight if you so wish. More expensive than some items, but, you get what you pay for - thoroughlly (I can't spell that word, sorry, hehe) recommended.

Having recently purchased this radio clock I am thoroughly pleased with it. I note with interest the comments regarding the inability to read the display. I agree that if you have an exeptionally high bedside cabinet then you cannot read the time, but that is only in very exceptional cases. Mine is located about the same height as the bed and it can be read easily.
A great clock; stylish, versatile and typical of the Sony quality. Buy it.

First of all would just like to say, thank-you Amazon for a very fast delivery once again. Ok, opened the box and first impressions were very good. Solid build, nice design. Plugged it in, set it up in a matter of minutes, very easy. Woke me up next morning, one very happy customer!

I like everything about this clock from the features to the display, but one little thing (and this is why i have give it 4 stars is) there's no back-up compartment for a battery. I have started setting my mobile phone alarm just in case there's a power failure.

Don't let this little gripe put you off though unless you live in an area where you tend to get alot of power cuts!

On the whole, nice design, great display and very user friendly to setup, just as you would expect from the makers of Sony.

Only one thing missing
Great radio but with one fairly fundamental feature missing... A backup battery!

If you loose power!
Great bit of kit, but if the power goes it's a bit annoying in trying to set it back up again! The first couple of times this happened the instructions had to be found.
