Need to get up close with your subject and capture every detail? The SEL55210 is a slim and light 3.8x telephoto zoom E-mount lens that’s easy to use and an ideal addition to your standard zoom kit. It offers a wide 55-210mm range (35mm format equivalent: 82.5-315mm) for a broad variety of photo applications and is Full HD movie compatible too. With 3.8x coverage, this lens is ideal for outdoor sports and nature photography.
Slim, light, easy to carry
Designed in lightweight aluminum alloy to match both the cameras and other E-mount lenses, SEL55210 won’t weigh you down. It features a 49mm filter diameter and slim profile that fits naturally in the hand or a carrying case. The lens has been carefully designed to avoid causing shadows when using the flash unit supplied with E-mount cameras.
Quiet and responsive
With internal focusing, this lens is smooth, quiet and responsive when shooting stills or movies. Noise and judder have been minimised across a variety of different subject distances by placing the focusing lens at the center of the optical path – this improves image quality and AF response. A quiet AF drive and linear motor keeps mechanical noise low when shooting HD movies.

Customer Reviews
I tested this out by taking shots both "raw" and "jpeg" and could easily see that the camera was correcting the lenses aberrations. I am very pleased by this and have started just taking "jpegs" for the time being as the onboard processing seems to be doing an excellent job.
All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.
