There is hardy any drop in the sound quality but microwave's can cause interference. This receiver is being sold with Sony's high-end Aino smartphones. The sound quality is very good. The range, with no obstruction is 10m. Can be paired with, Sony Walkmans with built in Bluetooth or with an external Bluetooth transmitter, Dell Streak or Nokia phones without any issue.
The product came loosely packaged in an envelop, with no instructions. Since the packaging is nothing to write about you will have to check whether the Bluetooth receiver is working or not.(You may have to give it a quick 5 mins charge)Connect the headphones to the receiver. The on/off switch is located at the bottom, where the charging socket is. Switch the receiver by pressing the on/off switch once, blue LED's will glow indicating the device is switched on. You will hear a beep too. Press the phone switch on the top of the receiver. If you can hear a few beeps then everything is OK. Turn off the device by pressing the on/off switch again. Blue LED's will glow and you will hear a beep indicating the device is switching off.
Make your Bluetooth phone or MP3 player discoverable and start scanning for Bluetooth devices. Turn on the Bluetooth receiver by pressing the on/off switch but this time keep the switch depressed even after the device has turned itself on. The blue LED's will glow followed by the green LED's. It will beep then the receiver will start blinking alternatively Green and Blue until the pairing is complete.
