This is one of the best non-touch-screen phones
+ Nice large 2.4" screen, bright with good visibility in sunlight. Adequate for games or browsing.
+ Very well made, great style - finished with brushed aluminium facia (rear made of plastic but good quality, dark coffee bean in colour - goes well with the phone).
+ The sound quality is extraordinary, especially with the supplied bud earphones.
+ There are many equalizer presets and they really work. The SenseMe feature is not only useful, it begs the question - why don't all phones have it?
+ Buttons have a nice tactile feel and aren't clunky.
+ As usual, the menus are well-thought of and shortcuts are customizable.
+ Includes a 4 GB memory card !
+ Lots of themes/games/apps available.
+ Wi-fi works wery well (i havent tested maps functionality yet).
+ Ticks all the boxes - Voice dialling, HSPDA/3G, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, front camera for video calling, FM Radio with TrackID, etc.
- Comes locked with Vodafone (box includes a PAYG SIM card).
- The font is a bit on the larger size and i've had no joy so far with my efforts to customize the font style or size.
- Max speaker volume is lower than other phones.
- Has a proprietery headphone conector (however this applies to all SE phones). Having said this, the connector does have a 3.5 mm female connector at the other end, which allows conecting your own headphones.
- The camera is fixed-focus and although there's a flash, it does't even come close to some of the other SE CyberShot phones. It does tick a box on the features list though.
I havent dropped or scratched it yet, so i dont know how tough/resilient it is :-)
Bottomline - If you like phones with proper buttons (or hate touch screen phones) this is a good choice, especially at the price it's available for.
