The speakers look very good - great design - and would be even better if they worked with a laptop easily which is the purpose for which I bought them.
The description is not clear enough - it should be made very clear that it is imperative that you have a Sony Ericsson mobile phone to act as a conduit of power from laptop to speaker. Another mobile phone will not work and a 3.5 input jack does not provide power. I don't have a Sony Ericsson phone and it has proved impossible to find a suitable adaptor so they have proved to be completely useless. Therefore I cannot comment on the quality of sound but the design is really good. If you have a Sony Ericcson mobile I should think they are great but the necessity of having the right mobile phone should be made clearer.

When you buy a pair of passive speakers you tend to set your expectations on the low side, these little speakers from sony ericsson however do work very well and are very well built.
The sound is not just loud, but clear too ... very acceptable for the price & the phones own equalizer helps to balance the sound and the radio works fine.
I would have given 5 stars but for a couple of points ... the first being the fact that the sony ericsson socket on the speakers will not fit the headphone slot on my sony ericsson desk charger ... that is down to the physical size of the socket casing and the slight recess on the desk charger. This means that you cannot charge and listen at the same time.
The second minor irritation is that whilst the speakers have a aux socket enabling you to use other mp3s etc, you MUST have your phone plugged in and powered up for the speakers to work. It would have been useful to have been supplied with a line-out lead too. An important thing to note is that the speakers will only run off sony ericsson phones; if you change to a different make or SE move towards mini usb, it will limit the useful life of the speakers.
I must stress that these are minor points and I would have no problem in recommending them.

What an excellent pair of portable speakers. I was a little dubious as to what the performance would be like being so small? Some of the smaller speaker can be a little tinny. But this was not the case with the MPS-100, even at full volume they are impressive.
