This is my first hands free kit and I was impressed at how loud it is. I can hear people talking to me very well. Unfotunately they can't hear me so well, the sounds cuts in and out and I end up shouting into the speaker which is rather distracting when you're driving! (It's not the phone reception it's the hands free set as I've tried an alternative model which works much better on the same strectch of road)There are several different channels so you can pair up a few different phones and the light changes colour depending on which phone you are talking on. Fits very neatly onto the visor and has a decent battery life, hardly ever needs charging and then charges up very quickly. After non use switches it'self off to save battery life. All in all better and safer than using your hands whilst driving but not a good as I was hoping for.

Purchased two of these to add to the previous model (HCB-100) bought some time ago so each of the three family cars are equipped with bluetooth handsfree. Reasons for choosing this Speakerphone were:-
a) Original has been very reliable and battery life before needing recharging is amazingly good.
b) The Speakerphone when turned on automatically scans for a paired mobile so a family driver can use any one of the cars without having to pair mobile to
speakerphone everytime or transfer their own speakerphone from car to car.
c) Sound quality of both microphone and speaker, whilst not the best, are acceptable for normal use.
d) The unit is fairly small and reasonably unobtrusive when mounted on sunshade.
e) Very good value for money.
Gripes:-
1) Only pairs with three mobiles - old model pairs with five.
2) Mains charger supplied is Continental 2 pin which does not fit UK shaver type socket.
Overall this Speakerphone is very good value for money if you are looking for a basic Bluetooth Speakerphone.

I have been using a hard-wired mobile phone car kit for some ten years but with the latest handsets this is becoming increasingly more difficult. With changes to power cables and the variety of handset shapes, Bluetooth seems to have become the norm. With my latest Nokia N85 handset my only option to keep up my chats whilst mobile was to consider a Bluetooth Speakerphone.
And they are not all alike! As the Nokia N85 supports Bluetooth 2 for a more stable connection, the Sony HCB-100E fitted the bill, both in features and cost. There are plenty of useful features including the option to connect several handsets and recognise each by a coloured LED on the speakerphone, plus the option to extinguish this LED for nightime driving.
Connection to your mobile when entering your car is fast and fault-free and the speakerphone attaches securely to your visor. The call button on the device may be used to make calls or use caller voice recognition if your phone supports it. My only gripes are the fact that the power chord looks like it won't fit the socket on the speakerphone but with a little care it fits fine. The speakerphone volume is not as loud as a built-in kit and callers state the sounds to be somewhat 'hollow' but this is typical for stand alone Bluetooth devices.
All in all, I am very pleased with this device as it means I can continue my conversations safely whilst on the move. Recommended.
