I have only had my HCB-100 for a couple of days ... and I have to say, I'm impressed ... battery life seems to be pretty good ... all the controls are fairly intuative and I was up and running within a couple of mins (after first charging for 4 hours).
If you also take into account that the unit is supplied with a cigar lighter charger which would normally retail at £15+ ... this is a bit of a bargain.
It seems to be equally at home in the office as a speaker phone. I have mine on all the time.
I would have given it 5 stars if sound quality had been a little better ... don't get me wrong ... it is fine ... but could be better.
The only problem you do face with these sun-visor clipped items is at this time of the year when the sun is low and you tend to move the visor around more often. I had problems on a recent trip (east to west) Ideally these things are best located on a closed visor.
I have a couple of motorola bluetooth headsets ... 810 and 850 ... overall ... I would rather use the HCB-100.

Bought 2 of these - so I could safely talk with my partner.
Connects really well, compact (virtually invisible to passers by), good battery...and of course looks good being Sony... but we just can't hear each other! Infact NOONE can hear me clearly - the same with my partner (mobiles & landlines alike). You lean further and further forward, shout louder and louder and then have to give up. Max speaker volume too low too!
We both have given up and reverted to head sets. I just don't understand the good reviews. In my opinion, they're rubbish. Saw the product on an Amazon email with 5 stars and had to write my first ever online comment!
If you're going to go for one, I'd buy it from somewhere you can take it back to easily if you're not happy.
You may pay a few more quid, but better than wasting £33.
Maybe we just got two duff ones...

This handsfree worked well for me for about 15 months. It has had only occasional light use in that time. Without warning, in the middle of a phone call, the sound has just died. Charging and restarting does not bring it back to life.
I have heard of other reliability issues with these - one that would not hold a charge for long; another that indicated low battery even when fully charged; some disconnect from the mobile when idle - mine did this, but reconnected if there was an incoming call or I wanted to make a call. It should not have been compatibility issues as my phone is a Sony Ericsson. I am trying to find out if Sony have sorted out these problems with the newer HCB-100E before replacing it.

Great
Very easy to use. Long battery life and looks cool too. What more did I need? If you're looking for this item at a good price, don't go anywhere else.
