Sony Ericsson Elm Metal Black Mobile Phone on O2 Pay as you go (PAYG)

I chose this phone after reading a review in What Mobile they gave it 5 stars for usability. NO WAY!! If you are used to computer pathway techniques to access the many very useful attributes; an ideal business tool, But if you needed to make a quick text message, then 3 steps to write new, then 2 steps to contacts book; are you still with me? the camera is pretty good;very good definition.its a very nice looking phone. I have just been atext/phone call user.so many things to learn how to use on this phone.

I have not purchased this phone off Amazon so I cannot comment on customer service recieved for that particular item on this website but I can give a review on this phone. I purchased one in autumn 2010 not long after it came out so I have had mine for just over a year and a half and i'll definetly give it a thumbs up. If you like smart phones and touch screen then this phone is not for you but if you like a good quality phone with buttons and a lot of features then it may be your thing. I have dropped mine on the floor many times and it hasn't broken. It has gotten slightly wet from rain and it is still fine. It has good battery life that can last about three and a half days. That is with me keeping the phone on most of the time. The camera is pretty good for a phone, 5mp and it does what you want. It also has video recorder and voice recorder. It takes reasonably good quality pictures and is good for taking outdoor scenes i.e. sunrise. It does not compare to a decent digital camera, but if you don't always want to take your camera out then it can get some good pics.

It has a music player. There is also a feature on it called track id which is quite handy. It does mean connecting to the internet but thats alright if you get free internet depending on which network provider you use. But basically if you hear a song you like on the radio or anywhere and if you press track id, the phone will sample part of the song, then it connects to the net and searches for the artist and will then tell you the name of the song, artist and album that the song is from.

The torch is another good feature on there. It is pretty bright and doesn't use up as much battery life as you would think.

As for this being a green phone, I'm not too sure on that. When you unplug the phone charger from the phone, a notice comes up on the screen telling you to unplug the charger from the mains to save energy. That isn't really making it a green phone.

It has internet connection but it is a pretty basic phone for internet. Not all webpages will load properly on the screen unless you use google format for mobiles which isn't as good. It depends really on what you are looking for. If you just want to use this phone for looking up information then it does the job. But if you want to watch videos and other things then a smartphone may be better.

There are other features as well but to be honest there are too many to mention. I hope this review was of some help.
