i brought this item before the two reviews recently posted went up. I brought it blind and it paid off... Why moan about a product you've not even used!? I've used it and love it!
It says its for conference style use, this thing is so good that i recorded an instrument on it for a live web clip.... yeah so its not made for that use but its good enough and dynamic enough to be clear and crisp. For normal speaking it sounds incredible

This device MAY need a separate power system (e.g.) if you are recording to a laptop. I could not see this stated anywhere on the amazon site. It turns out that the ECM C115 power system is unobtainable and so the product may be useless! Beware.

I was going to order a Sony ECM-CS10 Tie clip Mic, from Photo Kingdom but have seen fit to change my mind. Also, I note that it may not work on laptops without additional power supply. My existing but faulty Sony lavalier mic has worked OK on my Medion Laptop without it's associated power supply so users should check their laptop details to see if power is supplied from the mic input.
