very neat and very light, but for something costing just over £100 on amazon and £159 on the sony website, cannot tell much difference at up to 3-4 metres from the onboard mics (same background noise, clarity). It does pick up sound beyond 3-4m that the onboards don't but that's about it. Sony claim superb clarity and power through the hotshoe but it requires an LR44 battery for power!
