This is a great little product from Sony. I use this mic and receiver with the XR500v camcorder and it works a treat. Both the recorded sound and the range is surprisingly good and I've been able to use it on a beach with a strong wind and still record the subjects audio clearly thanks to the windshield that's supplied with the mic.

If you have a handycam and you want to do some really professional documentary or even movie, buy one of these. It does the job. You will impress with its quality and its function.

I needed a wireless mic for my camera and I was lucky that Sony has this mic for my Sony HDRSR11 Camera. Sound is very good. If I knew this product, I would have bought this microphone the same day I bought my video camera :)
