I used this to record an amateur theatre production this weekend. Even though the camcorder was 30ft from the stage, the mic gave good sound within about 2ft of where the transmitter was placed. No cut outs and no interference. The narrator sounded as if he was wearing a lapel mic. Very easy set up and operation. Very impressive performance. Exceeded expectations. I would recommend this product.

I'm so pleased with this Sony ECM AW3 wireless mike. It is terrific. It is Blue-tooth and so reliable. If you want greater audio freedom, this is the product for you. You clip the mike to the speaking person and then clip the receiver to the camera, it's so easy (or to a smaller pocket video such as a Kodak Zi8 pocket video.) It records audio brilliantly plus the camera person and speaker can talk to each other over a large distance while setting up a shot... this beats any FM wireless set-up. It can be used in many other situation too...i.e. Skype calls and the list goes on. Get it. Don't hesitate. I love it.
Light as a feather, bettery is AAA size and last ages, sound qaulity is superb and output variable.
Also two way communication with camera operator and mic wearer.
