I had bought a baby DVD player on the cheap (£29) and fell in love with it. Alas, it soon began to malfunction, so I decided, this time, to go for quality.
And quality is what I got! This dear little device is a joy, what with its superb picture quality, exquisite sound, sleek good looks and compact size. It is easy to operate, and as far as I am concerned, it's star feature is that it does not tug the old-format TV and film pictures sideways to fit the wider screen, thus making actors, even the tall slim ones, look like sumo wrestlers. Ye gods, how I hate that!
Caveats - if you have a cat, its fur will attach itself firmly to the device, and it does tend to take fingerprints easily. The mains attachment is almost as big as the player itself, and, although the battery is advertised as lasting for five hours, it does not, even after repeated chargings.
But its good points far outweigh the bad. It costs a bob or two, but what the hell. Better spend a lot on something good than throw good money at a piece of tat.
