It allows you to photograph wide views of up to 224 degrees – wider than most professional wide angle lenses. Sweep Panorama works by shooting a high-speed burst of frames as you sweep the camera from side to side or up and down. Images are then automatically stitched together by the camera to create one amazing panoramic image.

Don’t want to miss that spontaneous moment by having to pick the perfect photo settings? Let the W570 do everything for you automatically. Intelligent Auto mode takes the effort out of getting great photos whatever the conditions. Intelligent Scene Recognition means the camera can automatically determine the optimal settings for twelve common scenes so you won’t have to make any time-consuming adjustments, can shoot with confidence and get great results. Or alternatively turn off auto mode and select shooting conditions yourself with the preset modes available with scene selection -the choice is yours.

Put a smile on every face

Face Detection automatically adjusts the exposure, focus and skin tone of your shot so the photos you take of your friends and family look more natural. The new Soft Skin mode uses this Face Detection technology to automatically soften wrinkles, freckles and dullness, as well as adding definition to the eyes and mouth, perfect for individual or group portraits of up to eight people. Smile Shutter is another handy feature. When activated, your W570 will automatically take pictures when people smile. It’s great for capturing spontaneous smiles and ensures friends and family will always look their best in your photos. Both features allow you to automatically detect up to 8 faces, combined with the in-camera red eye reduction function results are simple. You’ll get great photos every time.

Wish you could capture more than just one moment? Now you can. The W570 also doubles as a mini HD camcorder, able to shoot 720P HD video clips in crisp, detail, with stereo sound at 30 frames per second.
