At this size you'll be able to make a quality poster print at up to A3, or crop the image without losing any of its crisp detail.

Your home movies in beautiful HD

    5.0 out of 5 stars sony cybershot W350 9 April 2010
    By Alan
I already own a Nikon SLR camera I use this for landscapes and weddings, but its bulky to carry, especially when travelling around London. I needed a camera which would easily fit into my pocket, produce quality photos, have a long battery life (rechargeable), and use SD memory cards.

I use cybershot W350 to take photos of documents at the national archives, and for family and friends. I am very pleased with the results. Its easy to use, photos are not as good as an SLA camera, but for the size of the camera, they are excellent. Works well in low light situations. The landscape feature is neat, and the HD movies are very good, although best results are when I can hold the camera steady.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Sony 14m camera 9 May 2010

I was looking for a quality small camera that was easy to use but with enough features that I could use it most of the time rather than carry around both my camcorder and bigger camera while on holiday.

This Sony W350 met the requirements and produces great quality photos.

The video is decent quality; wide angle shots are ideal for what I wanted; reasonable 4x optical zoom for camera of this size; lots of nice features (steady shot etc .. and it fits comfortably in a shirt or trouser pocket!!

    5.0 out of 5 stars Was I Disappointed?...You Must Be Joking! 2 Aug 2010
I ordered my DSC-W350 through Amazon. This is my second Sony Cyber-shot camera, the first being the T10 model which still works perfectly well (after 4 years, numerous music festivals and holidays abroad) but I thought I was in need of an upgrade. Rightly or wrongly I wouldn't consider moving too far away from the Sony range. They've never let me down yet so after reading the spec on various websites I couldn't wait to get my hands on this little beauty. I went for the Black purely on the basis that my T10 is silver and while it looks great when it's brand new, the moment I got a little scratch on it the older it starts to look and my eyes are always drawn to it. That's my thinking anyway.

Was I disapointed when it arrived 4 days after placing my order? You must be joking! I'm abolutely blown away by it! First off, it looks cooler than any other compact camera on the market (in my humble opinion). Secondly the 14.1MP is amazing. The 4x optical zoom is real bonus and the clarity on LCD screen is excellent. Have I left anything out? Oh yes the sweep panorama. What a brilliant addition! There's also the Intelligent Auto function which picks the correct exposure mode for you. It's almost like your new best friend. It does exactly what it says on the tin and its so easy to use. I'm no expert when it comes to digital photography but you can't ask for much more than this. I haven't mentioned the HD Video mode because I haven't used it that extensively yet. First impressions are good though. I find the camera to be very lightweight and very easy to handle in terms of size.

I also purchased the LCS-CST Sony carry that is recommended for this camera. I find it too big. It's a well made case and all that but just too big to carry around in your hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact and Perfect! 19 Sep 2010
    By Piimkie
I bought this camera just before I went on holiday. It was a wary, split second decision, and I have no regrets at all. This is a fantastic camera. It was a little smaller than what I was expecting, but I guess size doesn't matter, the 14 megapixels capture everything (which can sometimes be a bad thing when you're doing portraits of you and your friends, all your imperfections appear!), it does well in low light and the panoramic button which captures things too tall or too wide for the lens. The HD video recording is fantastic, but like every other video recording on a digital camera, the sound quality can't beat the ones of a video camera. The smile detection doesn't always get every smile, but I feel there's not much need for it.

One downside is that the LCD screen scratches very easily! I recommend that you get a screen protector - EASYi - 3 Pack 2.7" LCD Screen Protector for Digital Camera - at the same time if you are going to purchase this camera.

All in all, if you purchase this for easy, casual everyday photo capturing - you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars little gem 16 Aug 2010
    Verified Purchase
This is a fantastic little camera. I've just taken it on holiday and it's coped with a variety of different light conditions, and has taken great pictures every time. Even in low light when not using the flash, the results are focused and really capture the atmosphere. The macro and zoom work very well and the results are sharp. It's easy to fit in your pocket, and when you want to snap something quickly, the anti-shake feature is brilliant. I can't fault it - it's great value and I might never need another camera again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better luck on the second go! 8 Aug 2010
    By anng
Was not happy with the first camera I was sent - something was wrong as all the shots were incredibly over exposed. However I think that was a blip as Amazon very kindly exchanged it for a new one and this one's great - with no problems, nice clear shots.
I think it's worth remembering that Amazon have a good returns / exchange policy which worked quickly and efficiently, giving you peace of mind when you buy expensive items over the internet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic little camera 2 Aug 2010
I'm not a great photographer - just a "point and shoot" type, but this camera makes it so easy to take great pictures! I love the smile detection feature, and have just mastered how to use the panoramic feature, with great success! A fantastic little camera!
