Its 16.2 megapixel Exmor R™ CMOS sensor with BIONZ image processor shoots intensely detailed, high resolution images at 10 frames per second that look sharp and lifelike even when enlarged up to A3 size. Because the sensor absorbs twice as much light as a conventional sensor, you can be sure of low-noise pictures that stay perfectly defined even in poor light. So if you want to shoot at twilight while the sun is setting over the piste or indoors without using a flash, that’s no problem. See the world in 3D

There’s nothing like 3D for true-to-life realism. The TX10 gives you the freedom to take 3D single shot still photos for playback on your 3D TV – especially good for sports. You can also capture stunning landscapes and cityscapes in panoramic 3D with Intelligent 3D Sweep Panorama. Simply press the shutter while sweeping the camera from side to side or up and down to shoot a high-speed burst of frames. Images are then automatically stitched together to create one amazing panoramic picture. The Intelligent Sweep Panorama function also lets you shoot movement without the image becoming distorted.

Shoot in Full HD 1080i

Cyber-shot TX10 is all you need when heading out into the great outdoors. On board are excellent movie features for capturing special video moments. Simply press the Movie icon on the touchscreen to shoot ultra-sharp and lifelike movies in Full HD 1080i. Efficient AVCHD video compression technology optimises file size for easy storage and sharing on your PC. Sound quality is impressive too with stereo recorded at 30 frames per second to bring out all the atmosphere. Slim and compact it may be but TX10 still manages to pack in a high resolution 3.0” Clear Photo Plus LCD with touch screen. Framing shots is really easy on the large size screen with everything crystal clear in fine detail and high contrast. Touch the screen to access a range of modes and settings or review your shots. Scroll through latest compositions by sliding your finger across the screen. Quick and easy – the way it needs to be at 12,000 feet or while hiking a sub-zero trail.

Time is of the essence when shooting action or capturing special moments with friends. TX10 is equipped with a variety of smart features to make setting up each shot as fast and simple as possible. Select Intelligent Auto Scene Recognition and the camera will automatically recognise nine preset scenes and adjust settings to ensure you get the best possible results wherever and whenever you are. Includes a range of twilight, portrait, tripod, backlight, landscape and macro modes.

Natural portraits

Face Detection automatically adjusts the exposure, focus and skin tone of your shot so the photos you take of your friends and family look more natural. Soft Skin mode uses this Face Detection technology to automatically soften wrinkles and freckles, as well as adding definition to the eyes and mouth - perfect for individual or group portraits. Smile Shutter is another handy feature that when activated, automatically takes pictures when people smile.
