Just bought one and zoom gets blurry after about 10x. Any suggestions to achieve good quality high zoom (even if not max.)? Thanks 15 Dec 2014
try to zoom slowly and give the mechanics of the camera a chance to focus, however a tripod is best for distance shots, many bridge cameras have a half press feature on the button that takes the picture, by mastering the half press you may find that the camera steadies and focuses quite well, you may get some video tips on you tube on how to get the best from your camera, hope this helps a little.
i've gone for an 8gb . which I discovered will hold up to 10000 photos so in hindsight would've gone for a lesser gb
Can you set the camera to approx 1000 ASA on widest aperture for approx 12 to 15 Seconds to take photographs of the Northern Lights ? 27 Oct 2014
Sorry but I cannot help as I've not tried anything like this option. Generally I have been a little disappointed it has not always produced the photograph I was aiming for as even some basic shots have not been so good.

Any ideas as to comparison with the Panasonic Lumix FZ72 Bridge Camera apart from the price. Why is the Lumix more expensive? Thanks for your time. 6 Feb 2015
As I said in my review of this Sony I purchased this because of its connection with Minolta and a reasonable price to try it out,I'm not a Professional by any stretch of imagination, just an interested amateur so if I we're you I would browse around Currys or some other place where you can handle them
