Sony has become my brand of choice for rewritable media because they make reliable and long-lasting products. I am still doing weekly back-ups using +RW disks purchased 4 years ago! By contrast, almost all the cheaper (inferior brand) disks I bought have now failed. I also had to return a whole box of Maxell disks as they would not work in my late-model burner. No such problems with Sony media. I also use their +R and -R disks for archival storage and love the quality results.
