Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Sony DVD+R disks offer two-way compatibility for data and video applications: the disks are compatible with both DVD player and PC DVD drives. Users with a DVD-ROM drive and MPEG2 decoding capability within their PC can play back DVD+R disks recorded by a DVD+R/+RW recorder. Also, the disks are compatible with the existing DVD-Video/ROM format. They use the same 8-16 modulation and RS code as DVD-ROM with a bare disk, so no cartridges are required. The disks use the same recording density as DVD-ROM single layer disks.
