The camera comes with an easy-to-navigate 2.7-inch (6.7cm) touch screen which is a breeze to use. Its spot focus function lets you compose your scenes easily and shoot like a professional. And because it's a touch screen, menus and settings are just one tap away. As the screen is big enough to be viewed by more than one person you can share what you've shot right there and then.

Face detection and instant lighting
When shooting people, Face Detection will detect up to eight faces and adjust the camera's settings to deliver natural skin tones and makes sure all are in focus. There's also an on-board video light to brighten up parties, interiors and other dimly-lit scenes.

If you're not using a tripod and shooting with the camera in your hand, one slight shake could make your movie look less than professional. To avoid this, SteadyShot works automatically as a handy digital image stabiliser to ensure you get steady images every time, even when you're zooming in to capture close up details.

Managing your movies is fun and simple
The included Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software takes the effort out of organising your movies. Just install it on your PC and and you'll have a perfect archive for your films which are all just a click or two away. You can arrange them by date, by person, and search through them quickly. You can then burn them to discs, send them to friends or upload them to your favourite video sharing sites in seconds.

Share your memories easily
One of the great pleasures of shooting videos is sharing them with family and friends. It couldn't be easier with the SX33. You can transfer your films to your PC using a super-fast USB 2.0 connection and use an optional DVD burner to make DVD copies. PictBridge functionality also lets you print still images without using a computer.

Or rather than transferring your movies, simply use BRAVIA Sync to navigate through what you've recorded and play a movie straight from your Handycam® on your big screen BRAVIA. The camera also offers a Video output and S-Video output so you can instantly show your stills or videos on a variety of other screens.
