Capture those special moments with the DCR-TRV50 Mini DV Camcorder. The new MiniDV Camcorder from Sony creates high-quality visuals thanks to the 1550,000 pixel CCD which yields 530 lines of horizontal resolution and the Carl Zeiss 10x optical zoom lens. The super SteadyShot mode will make sure your visuals stay still, even if your hand doesn't.
Using the USB streaming feature the camcorder can also function as a WebCam. In addition to this, video footage can be downloaded directly to a PC via a USB port. This material can then be edited on your PC using the supplied software. Once edited, your masterpiece can be shared with the whole world via the Internet.
For those wanting to retain the high quality that the digital camcorder offers, the DCR-TRV25 offers iLink (DV in and out)--giving the user the ability to edit raw footage on their computer via a FireWire capture card and then output edited footage back onto the DCR-TRV25. The camera also features analogue video in and 14-bit DXP signal processing for greatly improved rendition of highlight and shadow detail.
The DCR-TRV25 includes the ability to record straight to MemoryStick. As with the DCR-TRV340, you can create MPEG movies by using MPEG MOVIE EX; your recording time is now only limited by the size of MemoryStick.
It also boasts a crystal clear 3.5" LCD monitor and a precision 180 K pixel colour viewfinder. Other innovative features include Bluetooth connectivity, Hologram AF and an intelligent pop-up flash with red-eye reduction. Add to these already impressive features manual focus, 120x digital zoom, playback zoom and Super NightShot mode for filming in very low light and you've got yourself a very impressive camcorder.

Have had the TRV50 for 4 weeks now (my 2nd Sony digital camcorder). The picture quality (both still and video) is awesome, and it has a ton of useful features. Playing back video on a TV, it is not easy to see the difference between any 3CCD camera and this single CCD Sony.It is very small which actually makes it slightly harder to handle compared to larger cameras I've used before. The zoom is a little touchy at first -- will require some practice to be able to zoom in/out slowly. Of course, the 8MB memory stick is too small to do much good -- go for the 128 MB one, and the battery is on the small side.

the res of the pictures is exellent.the touch panel LCD is very usefull and sweet.the video resis best..spot focus is fantastic for photography. yes..it is camera in dreams..it's best
