At just over £400 it's a bargain, it's small lightweight and easy to use. It records straight to mini 8cm DVD rather than tape, just format and play straight on your PC or DVD player - rather nifty. Sony provides you with one DVD-R (non-rewritable); suggest you invest in a couple of DVD-RW so you can re-record tothe same disc, over and over again. You can't plug this camcorder into your PC, however with the DVD output format transfering videos to your PC is simple. It also lacks any Video editing software; a bit mean of Sony - but if you want these features it will cost you another £50 for the next model. Battery life is good thanks to the low power LCD screen. Thoroughly Recommended.

What can I say? A great introduction to DVD Camcorders. Sure, you can't plug this version into the computer, but for everything else you need, you'll only need this one. With a stylish design, easy (if slightly small) controls and great picture quality, I won't want it to leave my side.

This is the King of Camcorders I would recommend this top-tottie, the picture qaulity is fantastic cannot be faulted and is user friendly tho this Model does'nt work with the PC also if your into Video editing You will need the next Model from this which will cost an extra £50, Finally this only come's with 1 DVD-R not a DVD-RW, My new toy will not leave My side best Camcorder so far keep it up SONY well done.

its broken!
i have been unable to use this product as the discs were never sent. i have now bought the discs in Tesco's and have unpacked the camcorder and the screen doesn't work. Read more

Very good camcorder
I have this exact camcorder,i baught it back in 2004 and i never looked back,i recorded a lot of DVDs on it and it never gave me any trouble,they have come down in price a lot... Read more
