Beautiful, beautiful, twin sub bass shakes the house, clear sound, wonderful clarity, two thirds volume is more than enough to hurt my ears, and make my head ache.
This may be down to the 32 bit S-Master, modern models for some reason are only 24 bit. I don't know why.
Rear speakers need to be near plug socket, but being wireless means no trailing wires to feed around the room.
Set up for the speakers around the room was an absolute doodle with the microphone thingy Sony supply, just left the room for a minute and it did it itself.(changed the room furniture round and just used it again as speakers were in different positions and again just used the thingy, job done.
Options for music or dvd's easy to do, just press a button, and if you want extra bass, again just pressing a button and you too can feel your settee vibrate along with your backbone.
DVD's upscale to 1080i and picture is just great.
If you stop watching half way through, remove DVD and watch the rest of it later, as soon as you put DVD in,it remembers the point where you stopped it and you can just start watching from where you left it. Great feature!
Quality of build, quality of sound, quality of picture are all fantastic, no, it does not have a USB or Media port for computers, but it does have a HDMI and an optical port and I think it is just FANTASTIC and an absolute bargain.

The first time I opened this box and saw the parts my heart dropped. I tend to be a little lazy
but the set-up as described previously was quite stratight forward.
The sound quality is what blew me away and still does. I really had not rated Sony
as a serious Surround Sound Manufacturer. Having had a Sony dav Dz 230 entry level which I was
very satisfied with, the experience has just gone through the roof with this DAV DZ 810. It truly is
one of the best, you will not be dissappointed. But be warned this thing is loud, but it is compensated because you can hear a pin drop the quality is that good.
I could babble on a bit longer but that's it in nutshell. Make sure you get the calibration microphone - It's very simple to use but really optimises the proper layout or else compensates for placement of speakers to ensure you get the best sound.
